Computer + Equipment

The PC

Mostly for gaming, but I do occasionally program on it for game dev.

  • AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2920X 12-Core Processor 3.50 GHz
  • 32.0 GB DDR5 Ram
  • Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 (badly need update)

The Laptop

This is my solid, carry-around. Along with my iPad, I bring it everywhere. Even though it’s a bit older, it works perfectly for my day-to-day and is my go-to for programming.

  • 2016 MacBook Pro (Refurb from work)
  • Upgraded to 2TB SSD (Not easy to refurbish)

Keyboard’s are really important to me. I was addicted to my ASDF keyboard with Clear switches, but wanted something a bit smaller so switched to the Keychron with Reds. It doesn’t have as much resistance as the clears, but has a ton of really awesome features.

  • Keychron K8 Pro

Work from home has been a life changer for me (in a good way). A standing desk is a must if I’m hanging around here all day.

  • Fully - Jarvis Bamboo standing desk

Snatched from work before the pandemic, this is the ultimate in comfy chairs.

  • Herman Miller chair

Pretty standard front end development setup. I use VSCode for pretty much all the languages I use on a regular basis. I’ve gotten used to a mac for work so I prefer to program on OSX.

  • IDE: VSCode (Python, JavaScript, Etc.)
  • Operating Systems: Prefer OSX, but still do a little Windows work
  • Languages: Javascript, Node, Python, C#
  • Front End Frameworks (In order of use): React, Angular, NextJS, Svelte, Vue
  • Game engines: Unity

I’m a huge Notion junkie. I use it to manage all my projects from programming to home repairs. I also use it as a Second Brain and store/track all my notes, movies, books and Journals. Since time is scarce at this point in my life I need to make sure I utilize every minute.
